Why Give to HOP?

We are committed to loving God, loving people and making disciples. Your gift allows us to accomplish those goals. The Old Testament speaks a lot about tithing - giving ten percent of your income to the work of the Lord. This was the minimum amount to be given as a faithful Israelite. In the New Testament, the emphasis is not on keeping the minimum amount of rules to be obedient to God. The emphasis is on being generous in giving every aspect of your life to the Lord. This is not to earn God’s favor, but in response to the overwhelming favor he has shown us.
